How To Get Your Google Adsense Account Banned

Labels: ,

I was browsing the affiliate marketing forums last night and saw several new post about people who got their Google Adsense accounts banned. I see these types of post all the time and it leaves me scratching my head. It’s not difficult to follow the Google Adsense Terms Of Service.
From what I’ve been able to tell, there are two types of people who get their Adsense accounts banned.
  1. Those who deliberately push the limits. They know there’s a chance of getting their accounts banned and they’re not surprised when they get the notice.
  2. Those who do not take the time to read the TOS and are crushed when they get their banned notice from Google Adsense .
Here’s a quick list of the ways you can get your Google Adsense account banned.
  1. Click on your own ads
  2. Put Google Adsense on websites that have questionable or banned content
  3. Showing Adsense ads on Registration or “Thank You” pages.
  4. Sticking ad relevant images next to your Adsense blocks.
  5. Registering multiple accounts.
  6. Registering an account after you have been banned.
  7. Taking part in a “Adsense Click Ring”.
  8. Putting Google Adsense on Pop Ups that keep generating other pop ups when a user tries to close them.
  9. Asking other people to click on your ads. Google says not to do it, so don’t.
  10. Disclosing click through rates, earnings per click and impressions
  11. Using malicious automation software such as ‘bots’ to click on your ads.
  12. Putting Adsense on pages with no content.
  13. Hiring overseas workers to click on your ads.
  14. Creating Made For Adsense Websites
  15. Putting Adsense ads on Hate websites.
  16. Keyword stuffing pages
  17. Putting Adsense on websites that promote guns & ammo.
  18. Using excessive profanity.

How Much Can You Earn With AdSense?

Labels:

Google does not disclose exactly how much you'll earn per ad that is clicked.

The commission you receive per click depends on how much advertisers are paying Google for the particular ad. You will earn a share of that amount. I've heard of earnings anywhere from 2 cents to $15 per click.

So it is logical to believe that keyword phrases like debt free, employment, make money, mp3, sex, etc. will earn you more per click since these are highly competitive keywords that are searched for quite a bit on the web.

Advertisers generally pay more for popular terms because they are searched for more.

Even though Google will not reveal how much you are earning for each ad that is clicked from your site, you can still login to your account at any time and see the total amount of revenue you've generated that day, week, month, year, etc.

For example, if you see that you've made $12.60 today from 9 clicks then you can calculate that your average click through commission was $1.40 per click. That's as detailed as their stats will get. Also remember, that's only an average. You won't know how much each specific ad brought in.

My Google AdSense Earnings

I have been receiving monthly checks from Google since 2003, and I've read numerous success stories of websites earning 5 digit incomes per month with AdSense.
Now, I will admit, a 5-digit commission in a single month is probably not the norm for most participants.
I promote AdSense on three of my websites and my monthly checks are usually around the $6,000 mark.
My sites have been around for a long time and I have a great deal of traffic so that's a big reason why I earn so much. I promote my sites on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc. Making a lot of money with AdSense is all about numbers. The more traffic you have, the greater the earning potential.

Make Money With Google AdSense

Anyone who owns or is thinking about creating a website would be crazy to ignore this.

I am happy to say that making money with your site, no matter the topic, has become easier than it's ever been before - and it's 100% legitimate.
If AdSense had been available in 2000, I would have NEVER shut down my soap opera fan site that received 200 hits per day. I would have been able to earn money from that traffic and probably turned a small profit.

What is AdSense?

Google.com earns most of its revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. All this is managed through a program they call AdWords.
Now you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by displaying these same text ads on your site.  In other words, you're helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.
This program is called AdSense.
Every website owner should at least consider the program.  Even if your site is just for information purposes, you can still participate and make decent money with AdSense -- or at least enough to fund your website.

The Top 10 Alternatives to Google Adsense

Google AdSense is the current leader in content-sensitive web-based marketing. Webmasters can place Google AdSense JavaScript code on their web pages in order to allow Google's servers to show context sensitive advertisements (Google Adwords). The left hand side of this page shows an example of a Google AdSense skyscraper displaying a text or image ad.

Google's terms and conditions are very strict such that many web publishers cannot use adsense adverts on their sites. They are either denied from joining the Google AdSense program in the first instance, or in a situation that is becoming more and more common do not wish to do business with Google. A number of publishers are also finding their Adsense accounts are being disabled for reasons that are completely beyond their control. The problem is that most of the alternatives to Google's Adsense are pretty useless. Most of the good ones (such as doubleclick) are only interested in very large volume customers and so are not interested in the little guy with his blog who wants to earn a small income on the side. For this reason I have compiled my Top 10 alternatives to Google's Adsense that are ideal for the small time publisher. This site provides an updated list of the best website monetization programs that are available to webmasters.

How to Increase your Traffic with SEO Tools

Labels:

SEO is a very complex process and that's why the experts get paid the big bucks to do it. However there are a few simple things that you can do to improve your rankings if you don't have the money.

  • Know your Alexa Ranking and your competitors. Knowing where you are in relationship to your competition gives you a place to start from.

  • Use sitemaps. Sitemaps make it easier for search engines bots to crawl your site in order to find the information for how to index them. You can find one at xml-sitempas.com

  • Check the number of incoming links that you have. The more links that you have the higher you will rank in the search engines. Use the tool at seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ to find out how many incoming links you have.

  • Check keyword density. Go to seochat.com/seo-tools/keyword-density. This tool tells you if you have the optimal number of keywords in your copy.

  • Use high authority web 2.0 sites and articles. You can use sites like eHow, HubPages Wikis, and Squidoo and link them back to your page. These are highly ranked sites and will thus increase the rank of your site. Also they will rank well in the search engines on their own.

  • How To Increase Adsense Revenue Checks

    Labels:

Want your Google adsense revenue to increase?  Want to start receiving checks in the thousands, maybe tens of thousands?  Then add value to the internet.
Do not hit the “back” button. I am not writing a “puff piece” nor am I a softy who feels people should just write about what they like and the money will come.
The opposite could not be more true.
In all reality the topics you may know about may not be profitable from an internet marketing standpoint.  You may know about a subject that either a) has no significant search volume or b) the adsense revenue that could be generated from those keywords is too small to be worth it to you.
Its the boring keywords that pay the best. Having said that you need to research, understand, and get to fully know the topic you are talking about.  You should be somewhat of an expert after several months of writing about it.
I have made sites that add little to no value to the internet and I have made sites that were very useful to people.  Guess which ones generate more money?  The ones where I wrote generic content and did not fully research what I was writing about made peanuts.

Honestly, I do not have a clue how Google knows but they know.  Maybe the bounce rate has something to do with it.  They figure if a person stays a couple minutes then the content on the site must be somewhat user, exciting, or eye catching.  However they do it  their “bot” can detect when a website gives users little value other then being a portal to adsense ads.  Sure Google gets paid but their users have a bad experience and trust their search engine less because it lead them there. Enough experiences like that and Google will be where Yahoo is today after having the majority of the market share just ten years ago.
I promise that the more useful information you add to the web the better it will be.  One of the sites that make me the most money is one I put a lot of time and effort into.  I looked up information, interviewed people who were actually in that industry, and spend hours making just one blog post.  Google rewarded me by the number one spot for that term.  After I gained a little steam I also started getting backlinks without even trying.  A PR5 and PR4 site wrote a review about me and that pushed me to the top where I have been for a year now.
Ask yourself what you would feel about the content you just wrote.  Would you learn something from it?  Would you gain anything at all from it?  Is their any value to what you have just put on the net?  If the answer is no then you need to reexamine how you are trying to make adsense revenue.  You are looking at it from a short term perspective.
Google loves it when publishers make money with adsense.  Their official blog lists ones who have done so.  Some of these guys are seeing adsense checks in the tens of thousands!  But they are not going to let millions of people scam their system and cheat their users.  All those guys who are making the big bucks have a website that people like, get a lot of traffic, and add value in some way.  They get tens of thousands of visitors and at least 5% of them click on ads.
Want to start a website on bricks?  Spend hours learning about bricks.  Go talk to a brick maker and a brick layer.
Want to start a website about laptop power cords? Thoroughly research them.  Go to a computer store and ask the people there for their opinions.  What about a website informing people about tiki torches that includes where to buy them, their benefits and what fuel they use?  Go to Home Depot, Lowes, or actually order some up yourself.
Make a valuable website.  That is the only way to build a sustainable and large amount of adsense revenue.
